Wedding Show a Winner

Alexandra Palace’s first ever wedding show proved a great a success with over 1,000 visitors enjoying a showcase of some of the industry’s leading and most creative suppliers.

Held on 29th October 2006 at the iconic London landmark, the show featured innovative examples of catering, cake making, floral decorating and wedding crafts, from a long list of names including John Lewis, Cupid Creations and Absolutely Stationery.

Combining these with the entertaining fashion shows staged by John Lewis in conjunction with Kosibah Creations and wide range of wedding workshops by WonderWorks, Alexandra Palace truly displayed the their exceptional event organising qualities.

Those exhibiting at the show, who previously fully booked up all of the available stands well in advance, were extremely pleased with the level of interest that was generated. Katie Yiakoumi, Marketing Manager at Alexandra Palace comments, “We were delighted with the success of The Wedding Show. Exhibitors have been requesting for the event to be held annually and we are hoping this will be possible with aspirations for it only to become bigger and better.”

Alexandra Palace plays host to more than 100 weddings annually. With its striking architecture, beautiful interiors, breathtaking views of London and historic significance, Alexandra Palace makes an ideal venue. It has many well appointed halls and function rooms, which can accommodate from 10-5000, all have individual character and full civil wedding licenses.
