How many Bridesmaids should you have?

According to the BBC "A grandmother who was unable to choose which of her children and grandchildren to have as pageboys and bridesmaids at her wedding ended up having 27"

Shirley Martin ended up with three Chief Bridesmaids, three flower girls, six pageboys and 15 bridesmaids for her wedding to Derek Pursey.

The now-Mrs-Pursey said that she has seven children and they have got children so she didn't want to leave anyone out.

They were married after a 19 month relationship at a Baptist church near their home in Milburn Road, Gillingham, UK

Mrs Pursey was on wardrobe duty as she crocheted shawls for all of the flower girls and a family friend, Louise Johnson, along with five other assistants, helped to get the whole wedding party ready for the big event.

Transporting the bridal party took so long, Mrs Pursey had to drive three times round the church before the bus carrying all her attendants arrived. However the ceremony went well, and the couple enjoyed it so much that they are already talking about renewing their wedding vows in another big ceremony.

Secret Honeymoon Destination

They have just returned from honeymoon - but are keeping the family in the dark about its location. About 70 people have made guesses - with the correct answer due to be revealed by Mr and Mrs Pursey in a fortnight.
