Buying a Wedding Dress when you are pregnant can sometimes be difficult especially if you've found yourself admiring the fitted corset style dresses, knowing that 'the bump' cannot be accommodated in one!

What you need to do is opt for an 'Empire' style dress. This style can be strapless, with shoulder straps, halter neck - whatever you like, but the key for this dress if that it goes in under the bust. Meaning that 'the bump' has plenty of room! They are extremely flattering and having detail on the bust will distract from the bump itself. You never know, depending on how far gone you are, you might even get away with guests not realising you're pregnant ...unless you've told them all!

So, here are some ideas with excellent price tags to get you started. Go and try them on ......

Monsoon : Jane Empire Dress

Priced at £200

With detachable straps - ideal if you prefer strapless, but in case you feel the need for a little extra support, its good to know that you have the option.

In Ivory, Cutaway waterfall over skirt with a pearl and bead detail at bust

Debenhams : Ivory lamour beaded bridal dress

Priced at £110

Again detachable shoulder straps. This is an Ivory Bead and sequin embellished band to front joining in a point at the back with ruching and drape detail. Net lining. This isn't so practical if you have a very large bump, it will accommodate a smaller bump.

Alternatively, if you fancy a Wedding dress made specifically for a pregnant woman.
