Elizabethan country house WoodHall Manor reopens as exclusive, luxurious wedding venue with a difference

Set in lush Suffolk parkland, WoodHall Manor is reopening as a magnificent wedding venue after having been in private occupation for many years. The Manor dates back to 1566, during the time of Elizabeth I, and this historic house will be available for wedding bookings in 2008.

The Manor has been lovingly restored with the sole intention of offering couples a unique exclusive wedding experience. Owners, Tammy and Michael Chittenden bought the property after searching for a wedding venue for their own nuptials.
Tammy reveals “after tireless searching for a venue we found most places to be very inflexible and imposed their menus, wines and even DJ on us, we wanted to create our very own day using our caterers, favorite wines and musicians. We wanted a venue to be adaptable to our every whim. We never found one. We discovered WoodHall after searching for a new home and thought it was the perfect place for the increasing popular ‘bespoke wedding’. After a complete refurbishment some serious TLC, and the finest personal touches available, it will be the most perfect wedding venue possible.”
The Manor, which was once a boutique hotel with function facilities, celebrates some fantastic history. All of which is evident around the house.
Couples have exclusive use of the Manor and can enjoy a luxurious break for the duration of their celebrations. Exchange vows in either the beautiful Dovecote, the Walled Garden, Grand Dining room or in a marquee anywhere in the grounds at any time of year. You will be spoiled for choice when choosing photography locations in the house or grounds. You truly get the choice of how you want to spend your day.
