Organising a wedding involves a lot of time and money and there are many decisions to be made along the way. Everyone wants to create a special day for themselves, the rest of the Wedding Party and the guests.

That is why as a magician I believe it is really important to get the entertainment right on the day. When a wedding has a great atmosphere and a buzz of enjoyment then the day will be remembered. There are many forms of entertainment but I am going to write, from experience, the reasons why I believe magic helps your day to be a special one.

What comes into your head when you think of a magician? A person on a stage pulling a rabbit out of a hat? Multi-coloured silks and flamboyant bow-ties? Modern-day magicians can change your perception of what magic entertainment has to offer. My specialty is close-up magic, where I perform and amaze in front of your guests' eyes, be it either sitting at tables or mingling in small groups.

If you get the right magician for your wedding a vibrant atmosphere will be created, initially around a small group of guests, which will then quickly spread throughout a room. Imagine how at ease you, as the bride or groom, would feel when you hear excitement and laughter filling the room.

Magic offers an excellent talking point between guests, both at the time of the illusion and then after when the group digests the performance. Often at a wedding many of the guests will not have met previously and magic is a great ice-breaker for groups of people.

In my opinion, modern-day magic is no longer about the magician being the centre stage for the performance. I actively involve the guests so the performance becomes personal to them and leaves them feeling special.

Everyone’s wedding is a very individual experience and the magical entertainment can be tailored to any part of your day. Times I have found that worked in the past include; working the tables between courses at the wedding breakfast
the time between the day and the evening events as your new set of guests start to arrive during the photograph session.

On a more practical note having a magician at your wedding can often be a life saver if the day is not running quite to schedule. Having your guests entertained can really take some stress off the hosts.

So the real magic a magician produces is not just the incredible routines performed but also the unique atmosphere which is created for all who attend, both young and old, and helps make your wedding day one to remember.
