Get Married in your Family's Garden

This is the time of year when you may wish to hold your own personal unique non-religious wedding ceremony in your own, or a family member's garden.

This is a lovely idea, and the British Humanist Association has a nationwide list of celebrants ready to help you create your own special wedding ceremony.

I have known weddings by the riverbank, under an arch of flowers, or even in a public park (providing you obtain permission from the local Council).

Providing you also attend your local Register Office to make it legal, your humanist ceremony may be held anywhere. Perhaps you may want to say why this garden is special for you? Perhaps you also want to plant a tree for a new child, or to remember a parent? This can also become a meaningful part of the ceremony.
