How far in advance can you book the Church for your wedding?

I think its always a good idea to book the church at the same time. If you forgot and then were unable to match the service with the rest of the arrangements at the last minute it would be devastating.Some churches are popular venues and they book up quickly.
Your Vicar may not have diary dates that far ahead but you can check it out and then send a letter confirming. If there is a change of Vicar between now and then simply make sure your letter has been passed on.
