Mariage in Church of England under Common License
Friday brings a close to the working week, however the weddings questions continue, and NewlyWeds-UK seems to be the place to come with all your wedding questions, especially if you have religion, race, or citzenship issues... Hmmm I can see a dedicated section coming along!
Anyway on with the question...

If the couple are both British National Overseas legally working in the UK on the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme, and the groom is Roman Catholic while the bride has no declared religion, can they still marry in a Church of England parish where the groom has residency in an Anglican ceremony using COMMON LICENCE?

Hi Augustine
The answer is yes.
You are entitled to marry in your local parish even if you are not Anglicans. One of you must have been resident for at least 15 days before applying.
You'll need to swear an oath/affidavit with the diocesan registrar that there is no legal impediment to your marrying. You must then marry within three months of the licence being granted.
Your local Vicar will give you the contact details
warm regards
