When do we need to pay our Church Fees?
Laura Varney sent a message using the NewlyWeds-UK contact form
We are getting married in 7 weeks time and have not yet had the offical costing from our minister. He said 2 years ago when we booked it the charge was about £300 when do you usually pay this?

Hi Laura
You would normally pay when you go for the rehearsal - that way you're not having to mess with money on the day.
They might ask for some of it in cash - so they can pay the verger and the organist on the spot.
None of it goes in the ministers pocket by the way. It goes to cover church expenses and to the diocese.
Your Vicar officiates at the wedding for love, and most of us have to miss our days off to do the wedding - so be nice to your Vicar :-)
