Let it go and live longer

Husbands and wives who constantly bicker might actually live longer! Scientists claim that couples who are prone to the odd marital row are healthier than those who bottle up their tensions.

This is good news for those of us who are inclined to say what we think and blow the consequences. The study, conducted by the University of Michigan, and reported in today's Daily Telegraph, followed 192 marriages over 17 years and concluded that couples who suppressed their emotions were twice as likely to die than those where at least one partner expressed their anger. The trends were present even when other lifestyle factors such as smoking, weight, blood pressure and heart disease were taken into account.

Of course we all die sometime but (according to my friend Jules) every day above ground is a good day. So, providing you take the excellent advice from the Bible and and never let the sun go down on your anger, you can have lots of storms in tea cups and be happier and healthier for it.
