It's been another 'week that was'!

On the eve of 'The UK Wedding Shows' Manchester event the Church of England put out a press release about the new CofE website, where couples can listen to hymns online and print out a personalised wedding service (see www.yourchurchwedding.org) Later that day the phone started ringing with media enquiries. We were warmed by their interest, and of course Newlyweds-UK got several mentions because there is a link through to us, which is great.

It was also fun to see the way it was reported and I've now requested 007 after my name in the diocesan yearbook after being referred to as the Church of England's "Secret Weapon in the war on weddings..."

But today's entry in the Leigh Reporter made us laugh - because where I come from to 'click' means to hit it off with someone in a romantic way.

My husband is working away at the moment and his email response was that he would love to click with the Virtual Vicar in the near future! Chance would be a fine thing as we are like passing ships just lately.

If you are a regular reader we do hope that you have 'clicked' with someone wonderful and are either in the process of getting hitched or are looking back with nostalgia on your wedding day and longing to share something of the process with us. Do send in any questions or let us know if you have any helpful hints and tips to share.

You are only one click away from advice - on this site and on the new CofE site - but remember that your local Vicar is always available to chat with. If you live in our parish we consider that you belong to us. Whether you attend church or not you are classed as a parishioner. So don't be shy - the church belongs to you and you to it.

We don't mind why you come through the door. Our prayer is simply that you would want to keep on coming because you find something meaningful for your life in what you experience there.

Hopefully you will be able to relate to the congregation and feel accepted and loved. More important, our prayer is that you will have a personal experience of the love of God, meet with the risen Jesus Christ and fall in love.

If you are wondering what on earth I'm talking about then think back to when you first fell in love with a person and how your perspective on the world suddenly shifted. No-one can describe it but you know when it has happened. You just sort of click...
