The Big Freeze and Tigers in the Snow.

Well the 12 days of Christmas have remained white. I couldn't believe my eyes when I glanced out of the window this morning- six inches or more of the white stuff piled on everything and a buddleia laden with snow lying across the pond.

We helped dig a neighbour's car out and came back in for coffee and porridge. The Dunkirk spirit comes out in this weather. So it's a delayed return to work for some and snowballing for many. The kittens are so excited but the dogs are not keen so it's a day in today looking at the transformed landscape. Another log fire - yippee!

Hopefully you'll be able to enjoy the novelty of it and not allow tempers to be frayed if you get stuck in. It's too easy to fall out with people when cooped up together for long periods. Just make sure you wrap up warmly before venturing out.

I've just been reading the online news and seen some semi-naked pictures of an infamous golfer on the front pages of a magazine, though it seems that several sponsors have dropped him after discovering his serial infidelities. Why would anyone buy the magazine if half the world has seen it already?? Who knows - this weather might even persuade him to keep his clothes on. Apparently Leopards don't change their spots - not sure about Tigers...
