How exciting! This is my first post for NewlyWeds-UK and you can expect to find me here every Monday from now on...

So, what am I going to be talking about?

Well, you probably have an inkling already from the title of this post: Ethical Weddings... or green weddings, organic weddings, fair trade weddings... these are some of the terms you may have heard in the press over the last year or two.

Whatever the name, the concept remains the same: taking a moment to give some thought as to how your big day affects other people and the planet, so that hopefully your celebration will give everyone else something to celebrate too!

Over the coming weeks, I'll be looking at the different ways you can do this but to get the ball rolling, why not take a look at the Ethical Weddings Fairtrade Fortnight Challenge where we're investigating how you can incorporate fair trade items into your special day.
