Dear Resident Reverend,
My husband and i both attend the salvation army church and have been attending thee for 2 years 4 months now, is it possible for us to get married at the church of anglican without changing churches or do we need to be attendees before we are married?
Thank you

Hi Kikivee
I'm not sure what you are asking me really as you describe yourself as a wife and refer to your partner as your husband - yet you are asking me about marriage. Are you asking for someone else or am I missing something?
The simple answer is that anyone can marry in the Church of England whether they attend church or not. If you live in our parish you 'belong' to that church and can marry there.
Divorcees can now legally marry in Church but at the discretion of the Vicar in situ.
If you have already been married somewhere then you are legally married but can renew vows and have a blessing service at any time if you'd like to.
Hope this helps. Come back to me if I've misunderstood your question.
Warm regards
Jan
