Entitlement to be married in a church

Dear Resident Reverend,

I am christened but my girlfriend is not. Are we allowed to get married in a church, or do we both need to be christened?

Thanks!

Rob

Hi Rob
No you don't need to be baptised in order to marry in church - so go ahead and see the vicar. As long as neither of you have been married before you have a legal right to marry in your local parish.

Hope this helps
warm regards
Jan
