Dear Resident Reverend,
I apologise profusely if this question is at all offensive. My fiancee and I are both agnostic (by which I mean that we believe in God, but have chosen not to pick any one religion over the other while still respecting every one of them. I do occassionalyl go to church, though out of spiritual than religious reasons).
But we have always felt a Church wedding is beautiful (especially the wedding vows), and would like our wedding to take place at the CoE. I was wondering if our lack of adherence to a specific religion would be an issue for this, please.
Also, I presently live in Scotland and she in England, and we'd like to get married somewhere in England. Would that be possible, please?
Additionally, I would be extremely grateful if there were any additional steps we would have to take as we're not citizens of the EU (I'm Indian and she's Russian); i.e. translations (my documents are all in English as it's India's official language as well, but her's aren't.) I've tried trawling through the websites, but I got lost in the bureaucracy as it were.
I apologise once again if this question was inappropriate, but look forward to hearing from you, please.
Thank you very much for your help.

Hello Siddhu
Please be assured that your questions are not in any way offensive or inappropriate. I'm delighted that you want to get married in church and that you feel positive about our Marriage Service.
The fact that you are both agnostics is not a barrier to a church wedding and my prayer for you would be that you meet with God in your ceremony and really experience a blessing!
You say that you fiancee lives in England so her local church needs to be your first place to go as I doubt that you would have necessary qualifying links elsewhere. You should qualify because of her residency and the Vicar will advise you about the paperwork you need.
I hope this helps
kind regards
Jan
