Which Church...?

Dear resident reverand,
I'm a Roman Catholic and my fianceƩ is Church of England. We want to get married in a church but aren't church which one we should be married in. My mother says that because i am Roman Catholc i can't get married in a Church of England church is this correct?
It is just that my fianceƩ really wants to be married in the church his parents got married in, which is Church of England.
Thank you
Jess

Hi Jess
You can get married in a Church of England , regardless of your religious affiliations elsewhere. We have a duty to marry parishioners. With the new Marriage measure in place it is now possible for you to marry in the church your fiancee prefers -so go for it!

Kind regards
Jan
