Hi, I am due to get married abroad in five weeks time, then have church blessing next year for family and friends. I would like my daughter to be my bridesmaid at my church blessing , is that ok?
Hi Louise
There are no hard and fast rules about blessings though you can't really be 'given away' once married. Some Ministers may be specific about what they think is OK or not - but I'm sure no-one would object to a child walking in with you carrying flowers.
Check with the Vicar first. But she is part of the new family and it's right to include her in some way
kind regards
