I had a very minimal Registry wedding in June 2009, but my dream is to have a church wedding... However, Im not sure whether this is possible?? Any advise would be great...
(I was baptised Catholic)
Hi Jenny
Firstly don't worry that you were baptised in the Roman Catholic Church. If you live in a Parish then you are classed as a parishioner in the Church of England and the Church is there for you.
Unfortunately you can only go through the actual marriage service once. However you could have a Renewal of Vows and Blessing in Church. This can be a lovely service with all the family and a posh frock and it is an opportunity to revisit the promises you made and re-affirm them and ask for prayers and God's blessing together.
Why not have a chat with your local Vicar about the possibilities of this? I'm sure they will be able to offer you a service that will make your dream come true
