My fiance is a Native American, living in Oklahoma, we have been with eachother for a long time and we want to get married. I want to marry in a Castle, but he thinks we have to marry in a church because he is not a British citizen. Is there a way around this that we can marry in a Castle, but be able to have the same legal rules with the same victar from a church? or would our situation force us to marry in a Church?
Hello Vicar,
we're not sure what we should do. The situation;
I'm English, and my wife is American. We got married in a registry office in miami nearly 5 years ago. We didn't have the means to have 'the big day' with friends and family and our vows were recited by somebody who could hardly speak english. We went and celebrated on our own with mcdonalds and a bottle of champagne!
Dear Resident Reverend,
If we want to get married in a register office i know my partner needs to get a marriage visa but does he need this to get married in a church or can we get married on a vistor visa.
Many thanks
Amy
Dear Resident Reverend,
I would like some advice about a strange difference of opinion concerning the Catholic church and the Church of England.
Ok, my situation is the following....
Dear Resident Reverend,
My fiance and I are planning to get married in Barbados. We were both baptised RC, and are UK nationals we are not practicing catholics and we have just started attending our local anglian church in Colchester.
Dear NewlyWeds-UK and Resident Reverend,
I was reading your articles and I was particularly struck by the reference to divorce. I am myself divorced, some 7 years ago. Life was not better without my husband. I married a man I did not love, but even so my the time we had divorced I had certain grown very fond of him. I had a very difficult 5 years post divorce and found myself close to a breakdown. I am now happily engaged to a man whom I love with my whole heart and whom I am excited to be marrying in August 2008.
