Deciding where to get married is easier for some couples rather than for others. If you have grown up dreaming of that Church Wedding the decision has been made for you, subject to the necessary permissions need to marry in the Church of your choice. You should speak to your Reverend about your wish to marry in the church or email our very own Resident Reverend if you have any questions or need any further guidance. read more »

Can I have a wedding blessing after my civil ceremony?
22 January, 2008 - 16:48 posted by wotamesstagged in
Dear Resident Reverend,
My fiance and I live in Bristol and are planning to get married this summer at a venue licensed for civil ceremonies in Cheltenham. I had hoped that we would be able to have a wedding blessing or 'service of prayer and dedication' immediately after the civil ceremony (at the same venue), but don't know if this is going to be possible as the venue is not a church. read more »

Response: Dear Elle.... I want to take my Girlfriend away to propose ... I need help from the Online Wedding Organiser

Hi Dave,
I think taking your Girlfriend away for Valentines Weekend to propose in incredibly romantic and I'm sure that after 11 years it will be a wonderful surprise.
But where to go?
I'd look at somewhere a little special - travelling on 15th Feb 2008 and returning on 17th Feb 2008.
I've had a look round for you and based your trip on flights from Gatwick, this can of course be changed to site your closest airport. and this may well effect the price. read more »

Dear Terry,
Thank you for your email. As posted on NewlyWeds-Uk.com on 28th December 2007.
Getting married is a costly business. You have been very sensible in determining your budget before planning the big day.
The cost of any Wedding really depends on the numbers you want to invite.
I would suggest that you opt for a small but intimate Wedding. Your Church will charge to get married there but if you just have the basic options you can keep the cost down. Alternatively you might like to opt for a Register Office instead? read more »

Obtaining Marriage Records - tracing your family tree
12 December, 2007 - 13:17 posted by James Coletagged in
Dear Reverend,
I am interested in obtaining a record of a wedding that was performed in
the chapel of the British Embassy in Constaninople in June 1888.
Could you provide any pointers as to how to access information? This was a
church marriage, not a civil union, and I wonder where records of
marriages in the chapel might be held.
With thanks, J. H. Stape

What Colours should you choose for your Wedding?

Choosing the colours for your Wedding can be a very important decision. Particularly as you base most of the decisions for the big day on them, everything from the colour of the bridesmaids dresses to the Wedding flowers, its very important to get it right the first time!
Firstly consider the colours you like. If you love Orange put it on the list, equally though, if you hate Orange cross it off. Come up with your top 5 or 6 colours so you have some options to consider. read more »
Dear Reverend,
My fiance and I plan to marry aboard (private ceremony) and then hold a traditional wedding ceremony or 'church blessing' in the UK for friends and family. What are the rules/regulations according to the church of england regarding me walking down the aisle? Can I not walk down by myself and meet my 'husband' at the alter?
Many Thanks,
Ericag
