My fiance, who is French, divorced a few years ago. He only had a civil mariage back then and I would therefore like to know if we can get married in a Church in England after a civil marriage in France?

We are getting married in Italy under a "beni separati" civil ceremony.
This means that all finances are kept separate. Is this valid when we return to the UK or will all assets etc be shared.
