I do not get on well with my Vicar

wedding_girl_portrait.jpg

Dear Reverend,

My Fiance and I are hoping to get married in the church I was baptised in and where I attended at a younger age and where my parents and grandparents were married. However, we do not live in the parish any longer so we will require a special licence although we are not looking to marry until Autumn 2009. is this correct?

Also, I do not get on well with the current Vicar in the parish due to unfortunate circumstances when my Grandmother was ill. Is it possible for a different vicar to marry us in the parish Church or does it have to be the specific Parish Priest? read more »

Location, location, location

This week (a day late again, I apologise, Easter weekend has thrown me and I thought today was Monday!) I thought it was about time we talked about that cornerstone of any well-planned wedding: the venue.

Once you have the venue fixed, everything else seems to fall into place (well, almost!).

But of course, we're not talking about just any venue, we're looking for an ethical wedding venue...so what might that entail? For a few ideas, read on... read more »
