Choosing Wedding Music or Hymns - where to start?

wedding_dress_front.jpg

The Wedding Music that you choose for your Wedding Ceremony should be personal to you and mean something. What you want to walk down the aisle to and walk out married to depends on the type of ceremony you have chosen and where it is taking place.

Empty chairs for the Bride and Groom

Dear Reverend,

My daughter is getting married in a register office due to family
differences on his side. Can we have a full church wedding at a later date?

Thank you

Do you have to memorise "I give you this ring"?

Wedding Rings on Hands with Flowers

I was wondering, when we are exchanging the rings, we have to say the words, "I give you this ring...", I was wondering if we as the couple have to memorise these lines or do we get to read them off a piece of paper, or does the minister say them and then we repeat? because I really don't think I can memorise those words, it's the main thing I'm stressing about.

Thanks so much

Summer

Can a Register Office offer a blessing?

I married my African husband at the register office in the Gambia last year and wanted a wedding blessing this year in the UK but as my husband is Muslim he doesn't want to go to church and I don't want to go to the mosque. Can I go to the register office again here?

Hope you can reassure me, I'm getting married at a registry office on 12th July and having a Service of Blessing at my future in-laws parish church on 14th July. My question is; how much like a marriage ceremony is a blessing? read more »

How many Weddings a year?

Wedding Kiss Silhouette

244,710 couples were married in 2005 in the UK, and according to the Office for National Statistics, this is down from 2004's figure of 273,070.

So is this 56,270 people who failed to find true love? Is it just that we are leaving it until later in life to get married? what's your opinion, please let us know by either adding a comment to this article, or by contacting us through the 'contact us' link
