Hi Resident Rev,
Please could you advise me if it is possible to get married in a church and not exchange rings - bride & groom. Or is the ring considered an essential part of the wedding service to CofE. I know non-church weddings need not include it.
many thanks

I was wondering, when we are exchanging the rings, we have to say the words, "I give you this ring...", I was wondering if we as the couple have to memorise these lines or do we get to read them off a piece of paper, or does the minister say them and then we repeat? because I really don't think I can memorise those words, it's the main thing I'm stressing about.
Thanks so much
