Wedding Etiquette

glittery heart

When it comes to your Wedding day, whether you are opting for a traditional or non-traditional day - you are probably being bombarded with advice from friends and family over when you cut the cake, when the Mother of Bride can remove her hat and if the Groom is allowed to remove his jacket before you sit down to the Wedding Breakfast.

Writing the Speech - Groom, Best Man and Father of the Bride

Champagne bottle and glass

The order in which you present the speeches is Father of the Bride, Groom then the Best Man. Daughter marrying in church other than her parish

bouquet and hands

Dear Resident Reverend,

My daughter lives and works in London and her fiancee is an officer in the Royal Navy and therefore of no fixed abode. She would like to be married at a church near where we, her parents, live but not in our parish church.

She was christened and confirmed. We live in Worcestershire and the church she wishes to marry in is also in Worcestershire, i.e under the same bishopric.

What will she have to do to enable her to get married in the church of her
choice?

Thank you,

Kevin

Removing the Wedding Suit Jackets
