  • Celebrity weddings can be ridiculously opulent affairs, but surely nothing exceeds the pomp and ceremony of English Royal Family wedding! Anyone who missed the nuptials of Will and Kate missed a truly spectacular event, one not to be repeated for another 30 or so years. Every detail of a top class state wedding has been planned to the minutest degree. The wedding dress was made by a top designer, Sarah Burton and even the cake cost as much as an average persons’ wedding!

  • Would you please explain the wording "For be ye well assured that so many as are joined together otherwise than God's Word doth allow, are not joined together by God; neither is their Matrimony lawful."  This would seem to me to be the difference to a civil marriage which does not have the same high standards (due to civil liberties) as a church marriage.

  • I was wondering if a curate at our local church would be able to marry us, or if it would need to be the resident vicar?

  • Hello,

Not sure if this question is clear or not but here we go,....

The registry office can only offer a 4pm civil ceremony at the hotel which is too late for us. I am therefore thinking of just having a ceremony led by my uncle at the hotel to exchange our vows in front of our family and friends and then the following day go to the registry office to carry out the legal side of marriage.

  • As 2011 trundles on towards our favourite time of year (wedding season) we have exciting news about a change of platform and url for NewlyWeds-UK magazine.

From 1 February we will be moving over to www.nwdwedding.co.uk

We've gone for a .co.uk as we really are a UK based wedding magazine and we wanted the domain name to reflect that.
