Hi the can someone help us, myself and my fiancee are childhood sweethearts, only he moved away with his family at secondary school age,as normal life went on, we both got married(twice and both got divorced twice) however 2 and a half years ago we found each other again and have been together ever since, we have never had a cross word or a row since we both live in the same parish, today we had a chat with our local vicar about a church wedding and he says he cannot do it, there was never adultery on our previous marriages it was a case of love lost, we are totally devastated as we longed for a church wedding, we do not want a blessing, we are longing for a proper church wedding can anyone help us where do we stand, julie and tom

Before learning about watches you should be familiar with some of the terminology. The word horology has two meanings; it is the study or science of measuring time or the art of making clocks, watches, and devices for telling time.

  • Hi

I wondered if you could offer us any advice. I had been under the impression that anyone could be entitled to have a blessing after a civil ceremony? This is my first marriage but will be my fiance's second and as we knew that this may cause difficulties with holding the marriage ceremony in church we thought that having a civil ceremony followed by a blessing afterwards would be a good compromise as we are both religious and keen to have the religious aspect too. However on approaching the local vicar he informed us that he views a blessing in the same way as a marriage ceremony and therefore we would have to go through the same process and he would have to apply for the Bishop's permission before he makes his decision. Is this the normal procedure? Our venue were a little surprised as the previous vicar had conducted numerous blessings without going through this procedure and other couples we know who have done a similar thing have also found it easier. I am just really concerned that we will end up with no religious element whatsoever. :(

  • Shades of purple is perfect color however if your bridesmaid are not equal in height, the shorter ones will be noticeable. Making the shorter bridesmaid wear hat or perhaps fascinators can solve this issue. I recommend TheFeatheredHead.com, their fascinators are awesome and there are a lot to choose from. I hope I have helped :)

  • Hi my Fiance and I are getting married next April and would like our friend (who has recently became an 'Ordained Reverend') to marry us. He isn't 'connected' to his own Church yet and what we're wondering is if he would be able to marry us at my partners parish church...ie What is the protocol and possibility of the usual vicar allowing this?..

I am having a night New Years Eve wedding so I want to look like I am dripping in diamonds.....but without the big price tag. I am looking to spend 100 or less. I want cubic zirconium or crystals, drop style that are at least 1 &1/2 inches long. I want good quality not something that feels cheap or like plastic.
